If you're leaving or entering by the 178th entrance, you may have noticed a new addition to the clubhouse lawn: we now have a Little Free Library through which you and family members can trade books with other readers. Many thanks to the Paulsens, who donated the library to the neighborhood, put in the work of building it, and went the extra mile to style it so that it fits with the look of the nearby houses and clubhouse. Be sure to check it out on your next visit to the playground!
We received an updated schedule for the project from the city. Please see below a proposed schedule for the Silverhawk Assessment District:
April 24 – City Council authorizes final plans and specs July 3 – City Council advertises plans and specs for bid July 24 – Bids are opened August 14 – City Council awards contract 60 day construction period This is an estimate and subject to change but they are working to maintain this schedule. This is primarily dependent on the actions of City Counsel. We wanted to thank the many people who have taken the time to fill out violation reports. Almost all of the reports received in the past two weeks were of trash can placement violations. We have processed 50 of these reports and the letters are in the mail and carry with them a $25.00 fine for the first offense. During our Annual meeting, concern was expressed that we were not enforcing violations. We have worked through our process and believe that moving forward we will be much more responsive to reports received.
As a reminder, the Board is reliant upon the members of the Association to help police the neighborhood by submitting a report with a picture of the violation to this page: Report Violation Covenants. The Board members will report when they see something but understand that we don't go out looking on a regular basis. To be successful in this we must work together. Again thank you for your support! SilverHawk Board of Directors The SilverHawk Neighborhood Garage Sale will be held the weekend of May 4-6. Garage sale permits can be purchased from the Oklahoma City government website. The sale will be advertised through signage at the entrances and through an announcement on NextDoor. If you have any questions, you can contact Autumn Harting.
At the annual meeting on March 26th, the Penn Wall Committee presented its findings and the residents in attendance voted unanimously to accept the bid from Superior Concrete Products to fix the concrete wall that is currently in place. The HOA Board would like to thank the neighbors who served on the committee for participating in the research process and found an affordable solution that maintains the value of the wall and the homes within. The Penn Wall Committee will continue to serve until the repairs have been completed. For details, please contact committee chair, Autumn Harting.
