The Aynes Enterprises design proposal for the entrance/clubhouse landscaping has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 6pm in the Clubhouse.
Unfortunately, Aynes Enterprises has to postpone their presentation due to a death in the family. We'll let you know of the new presentation date. However, you are still welcome to join us for the Board meeting for the regular session. See the agenda for details.
Our next HOA Board Meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 17th, 7pm at the Clubhouse. The full agenda can be found on the Meeting Agenda page. Contact the Secretary if you have additional items to discuss.
The main focus of Tuesday's meeting will be a presentation from Aynes Enterprises regarding a re-design of the landscaping at the entrances and clubhouse. Linda Cameron, an HOA member but not a Board member, came to the Board and said, "Something needs to be done about the entrances, and I'd be happy to help." She met with four landscapers about giving the landscaping a facelift and, based on those conversations, narrowed the field down to two designs. Aynes Enterprises will pitch their plans on Tuesday, and we'll have the other contending design plans at the meeting for neighbors' review. This is a fairly significant project. We've received complaints from a number of neighbors who feel the entrance landscaping needs improvement. We couldn't agree more. The entrances are the first impression anyone receives of the neighborhood, and negative first impressions tend to be lasting impressions. If the entrances are rundown, shabby, or not well tended, one might assume the neighborhood and the homes within are of lower value than in surrounding neighborhoods. So by investing in the re-design and continued maintenance of the landscaping inkey areas, we hope to boost the home value of every home in the neighborhood. We also hope to set a standard that everyone may try to live up to, further increasing values. We'd love if you could attend Tuesday's meeting to weigh in with your thoughts on the landscaping and design plans. This should be an exciting project that will hopefully see completion before Spring 2020. Finally, many thanks to Linda Cameron for the work she's done on this project. If you have a major neighborhood concern and would be willing to give your time toward seeing it addressed, we'd be happy to work with you. |
